Magister Partners Meeting 2016

The 2016 Magister Partners Meeting, an event with tradition among Romanian retail solution providers, took place on the weekend of November 11-13 this year, at the “Hohe Rinne” hotel in Paltinis, Sibiu County. The seventh edition of the Annual Meeting brought together Magister partners from all over the country, on which occasion we analyzed the results obtained in 2016. The event was attended by approximately 120 people, retail specialists and distributors of equipment and software sales and management solutions for stores in Romania.

On Saturday, November 12, 2016, the Conference of Magister Partners took place.

In the first part of the event, Mihaela Petcu, Magister National Sales Director, presented the results of the annual Magister certification program, the commercial results obtained this year by partners, but also information about the new promotional package “A store in a box”, with touchscreen solution fill. Together with Florin Paraschiv, Commercial Director, he handed over the 2016 Magister Awards to the most dynamic SmartCash Authorized Partners and Dealers for this year.

Simon Electronics SRL from Satu Mare ranked first, the second place was occupied by Velvet Com from Bacău, and the third place went to Maart Consiliere Afaceri, SmartCash Authorized Dealer.

In the second part of the conference, Dor Bujor Pădureanu, General Manager of Magister Software, presented the new Magister remote technical assistance interface, along with the platform for remote presentations available to authorized dealers starting this year.

The central topic of the presentation was the new cross-platform application SmartCash POS NextGen in the advanced stage of development, whose main technical features are:

  • high compatibility with the most advanced HD – 4K display devices;
  • the ability to run on any device that uses Android, Windows, iOS or Mac OSx operating systems;
  • background synchronization via LiveSync with the store to which it is connected (nomenclatures, stocks, sales, receipts);
  • operation in any communication conditions (3G, 4G, Wireless, LAN or offline).

The presentation detailed the application areas, as well as the addressability, respectively the integration of the two versions of SmartCash POS Classic and NextGen in the future.

The event was doubled by the equipment exhibition, during which Magister and specialized suppliers presented to interested participants the best cash registers, electronic scales, as well as mobile devices (various types of tablets) – now essential for distance sales (kiosks, tunes, fairs, terraces, concerts, in markets, street shops or at van sales points).

Taking into account the fundamental changes on the retail market in the context of the regulations regarding the new AMEF models, the general manager of Magister Software outlined a “portrait” of the ideal fiscal printer Magister, among its strengths being LAN integration, increased printing speed, the possibility of remote control in the service activity and reliability.

The conference was a good opportunity for Magister partners across the country to contribute, through their own experience, to strengthening the suite of SmartCash RMS solutions at the national level, to defining its strengths and issues for improvement.
