The government has decided to extend until December 31, 2020 the deadline by which they must be equipped with electronic fiscal cash registers, including vending machines that operate on the basis of card payments, as well as banknote or coin acceptors, as the case may be.
Initially, supplies of goods or services made through vending machines operating on the basis of banknote or coin acceptors and containing an electronic and / or mechanical metering system as an integrated constructive part of the vending machine were initially exempted from the obligation to use cash registers , which would allow the registration, highlighting and control of the amounts collected, except for the deliveries of energy products.
In July 2019, amendments were made by Law no. 136/2019 for the abrogation of par. (1), (2) and (4) of art. 40 of the Government Ordinance no. 27/2011 on road transport, as well as for the amendment and completion of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 28/1999 on the obligation of economic operators to use fiscal electronic cash registers.
Thus, the economic operators have another year to properly equip with AMEF the commercial vending machines that operate on the basis of card payments, respectively the banknote or coin acceptors.
