Artificial Intelligence in retail – From data to decisions

Modern retail generates thousands of transactions, updated inventory, promotions and logistics flows every day.
Artificial Intelligence provides the ability to transform this data into a dynamic decision system that:

  • anticipates demand based on trends, season and customer behavior;
  • optimizes stocks to reduce losses and chain breaks;
  • recommends competitive prices based on machine learning algorithms;
  • signals anomalies in sales, stocks or cash flow.

AI becomes a “virtual assistant” to the retailer, continuously analyzing, recommending and learning from the results.

AI in retail – European trends

Europe is in an accelerated process of adopting artificial intelligence in retail chains.
According to RetailTech Europe 2025:

  • Over 60% of major European retailers are already using AI for stock analysis and demand forecasting;
  • 40% use AI for dynamic price optimization;
  • 35% deploy virtual assistants and support systems based on machine learning.
